Our Family Dinner & Trunk or Treat is just days away, and we can’t wait to gather for an evening of fellowship and fun with our church family! Join us this Sunday from 5:00-7:00pm at Shepherd! This event is rain or shine. We still need a few more trunk participants! If you’re willing to decorate a trunk and hand out candy, we’d love for you to join in! We look forward to seeing you there!

We’re getting ready for Trunk or Treat on October 25, and we’d love your help filling the bucket! If you’re able, bring a bag (or two 😉) of candy and drop it in the donation bucket in the lobby anytime between now and October 25!

“For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.” -Hebrews 10:14

Christ sat down because His work was finished. Nothing can be added to His perfect sacrifice, and nothing needs to be. Because He finished the work, we can rest in Him, and then faithfully live, worship, and love together as His people. May our churches and our homes continually point one another back to the sufficiency of Christ.

“The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth, and not only I, but also all who know the truth.” 2 John 1

We spent a lot of time at Fall Retreat 2026 talking about our Christian family. Family can be difficult, messy, and sensitive! However, God has bound us all together by something far greater than emotions and friendships! His love on the cross, and the truth of the Gospel have adopted each and every one of us.

Our time with one another as a church body, and more specifically in our CREW small groups, is the main arena for our students to learn about truth and love. They are not just growing in their understanding of the Gospel, they are learning what it really means to be the Church and show up for one another.

We got honest, vulnerable, and close on this trip. Huge thank you to Camp of The Rising Son for creating a space for our church family to spend time in Creation and in worship! God used the open air, a warm lake, and some amazing volunteers to build us up in the Word.

“But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second. For he finds fault with them when he says: “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.” In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.”

There is something so beautiful about the church gathering around the table. Acts 2:42 reminds us that breaking bread together was part of the life of the early church and it still matters today. Gathering, sharing a meal, celebrating, laughing, and simply doing life together are beautiful gifts of belonging to the family of God. So thankful for these people and the joy of gathering together!

“The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7‬:‭23‬-‭25‬ ‭ESV‬‬
