Last week was AOFS’ final CE program until the fall, and what a way to wrap up the season! This was our annual educational event at one of our favorite venues, Frankie's The Steakhouse
In addition to a 10/10 dinner and drinks, our guests enjoyed a fascinating presentation from Dr. Matt Milner on the different types of structural tooth loss and how to effectively communicate these issues with patients. The presentation was both insightful and practical, providing valuable takeaways that can be applied to our shared goal of improving oral health.
A special thank you to Drs. Belinfante, Jo, LaBanc, Meaders, Threadgill, and Yi for hosting such a fantastic event. Thank you as well to our sponsors, ZimVie and Pittman Lab, for their support. And of course, thank you to our loyal referring dentists and their teams, who continue to show up, learn, and grow alongside us. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

Today we honor Juneteenth.
On June 19, 1865, news of freedom finally reached the last enslaved Americans in Galveston, Texas. More than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
It's a day that holds both grief and joy. A reminder of how long freedom can take to arrive, and how deeply it is valued.
From all of us at Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery, we honor the resilience of those who came before, and the community we are proud to serve today.
Please note: our Douglasville office is closed today in observance of Juneteenth. All other locations are open as usual.

Last week, our West Cobb Surgeons hosted an outstanding CE event at Marietta Country Club. We were thrilled to welcome dentists from the Marietta community for an engaging and informative evening.
Dr. Schaner presented on the restorative workflow of full-arch cases, sharing remarkable case studies that highlighted the life-changing impact of restoring not only patients’ smiles, but also their confidence, function, and overall quality of life.
Dr. Salman showcased several complex cases involving zygomatic and subperiosteal implants, demonstrating how advanced treatment options can provide hope and restoration for patients who previously felt they had exhausted all possibilities.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, including our sponsors from ZimVie! We appreciate your support and look forward to hosting another event like this in the near future 🌞

What an unforgettable evening!
We had the pleasure of hosting our referring dentists and their incredible hygienists from Calhoun, Cartersville, and Rome for a night of learning, connection, and fun. Over dinner and drinks at Cassie's on Wall Street, we enjoyed an engaging presentation on periodontal pathways by one of our favorite speakers, Cyndi Roussert.
A special thank you to Dr. Salman and Dr. Kragor for hosting such a wonderful educational event. We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate, learn, and strengthen relationships with our dental community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us—we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Thank you to everyone who joined Dr. Gonzalez, Dr. Treadway, and Dr. Yi for an incredible evening of continuing education at our CE event, What You Need to Know About the Emergency Implant.
We were honored to welcome our referring doctors and dental teams from across the community for an evening of learning, networking, and collaboration. A special thank you to Jay Smith for sharing his expertise and delivering an informative presentation on the role of emergency implants in patient care.
From the engaging discussion to the great food, drinks, and conversation, it was a fantastic night spent connecting with valued partners and colleagues.
We appreciate your continued trust and partnership and look forward to seeing you at future events!

Something we talk about with patients every day: your teeth do more than help you chew. They actually signal your body to keep building bone in that spot.
When a tooth is lost, that signal stops. The bone begins to shrink, sometimes within just a few weeks. Over time, this can change how your face looks and limit what treatment options are available down the road.
We always encourage patients not to wait. The earlier we can step in, the more we can do for you. Call us at (470) 607-0570 or schedule a consultation at https://www.atlantaoralsurgery.com to get started.

When you lose a tooth, you don't just lose a tooth. You lose chewing strength, your other teeth can start to shift, and the bone underneath begins to fade.
That's why we recommend implants for most patients. Unlike a bridge or dentures, an implant goes into the jaw and takes the place of the root. It feels natural, and with care it can last a lifetime.
Most of our patients forget it's there. If you're thinking about implants, give us a call at (470) 607-0570 or book online at www.atlantaoralsurgery.com.
