Throughout June and July, the Massachusetts State House hosted its Intern Speaker Series, providing students interning at the State House with the opportunity to hear from an inspiring and diverse group of leaders from across the Commonwealth.

We are grateful to our Legislative and Board members who generously shared their time, experiences, and insights with the next generation of public servants. Your leadership and commitment to mentoring future leaders made this series a meaningful success.

The Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators welcomed Secretary Juana B. Matias of the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities for our members' quarterly meeting.

The discussion explored why housing is a women's issue and highlighted the Administration's efforts to expand housing production, preserve affordability, strengthen fair housing protections, and support families across the Commonwealth. Members also shared housing priorities from their districts, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration to ensure every resident has access to safe, affordable housing.

Thank you to Secretary Matias and the EOHLC team, and to all our members who contributed their perspectives and advocated on behalf of their districts.

Today we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

Menstrual equity gains momentum on Beacon Hill. Join us in making menstrual equity a reality in Massachusetts.

In 2025, the Massachusetts Senate unanimously passed legislation to increase access to menstrual products and require ingredient disclosure. Today, the I AM Bill (H.4611), which would provide free, stigma-free access to menstrual products in public schools, homeless shelters, prisons, and jails, is before the House Ways and Means Committee.
