Beginner-Advanced Pottery Wheel Throwing (almost daily availability; check schedule)
Work on the pottery wheel independently, with instruction, or glaze your pieces. Ages 13+

Beginner-Intermediate Clay Birdhouses & Feeders
Craft a handmade home or feeder for your backyard birds. Ages 5+

Handbuild Ceramic Pumpkins Workshop
Create unique clay pumpkins using a variety of hand-building techniques. All ages

Teen vibe check: decompress, build confidence, and express through low-pressure art. Age 11-18

Master imaginative & creative drawing techniques, and create a piece from start to finish! Ages 15+

Come to The Cat during our 1st Saturday Art Market to see what's new! We'll have local artists and makers in the parking lot selling their creations from 10am-5pm to help you find awesome, handmade treasures, or to stock up on some super cute gifts.

Our featured artist of the month, Mark Davis, will be here from 11am-1pm to chat with visitors and show his work.

Looking for an opportunity to start (or finish) your next piece? Our 2-hour Open Studio sessions (normally $10) are only $5 if you use code COMMUNITY at checkout. Open Studio sessions will be held from 11am-1pm or 1pm-3pm.

You can also jump in on a pottery class or our popular wire wrapping jewelry class! We'll see you there!

**While we typically try to do raku pottery firing every 1st Saturday, September's firing has been moved to September 12, from 11am-1:30pm! Pay just $10 to choose a piece of pottery from our studio to glaze, then watch the magic happen!**

We're looking for two passionate and dedicated people to join the Catalyst team! Work alongside a supportive crew at a community and mission-driven organization serving a diverse and inclusive clientele.

Full-time, on-site Executive Administrative Assistant:
The Executive Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the director and overseeing daily operations. This includes answering phone calls and emails, managing staff/volunteer calendars, data entry, event planning, organizing and filing. Greeting and helping visitors, plus additional opportunities based on your skills and personal goals are also possible.

Part-time, on-site Marketing Assistant:
The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Marketing Coordinator by drafting classes to our website, making website edits, drafting social media posts, creating marketing materials, and posting to event calendars, in addition to greeting and assisting customers. Additional opportunities based on your skills and personal goals are also possible.

Our Open House event this Saturday (8/1) will celebrate ceramicist and pottery instructor, Casey Gurr! We'll be holding raku pottery firing from 10am-2pm, where you can glaze and raku fire pottery for only $10 a piece, and you'll have the chance to meet Casey and learn about his work and classes from 3-5pm.

In addition to keeping you connected to Boise's local art community, this is also a great opportunity to learn more about our classes, and to check out all of the new items in our gift shop!
