Known for its soft, cloud-like plumes, muhly grass is a Louisiana native and a Louisiana Super Plant valued for its beauty, hardiness, and low-maintenance nature. It adds texture and interest to the landscape throughout the fall.

Our White Garden is currently filled with blooming white muhly grass, creating a stunning seasonal backdrop.

🌳 This Saturday, discover the art of bonsai at the Louisiana Bonsai Society Fall Show! Join us on Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Ione Burden Conference Center at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens.

This free event features an exhibition of beautifully styled bonsai trees created by Baton Rouge club members, along with tree sales, raffles, a silent auction and door prizes. At 1 p.m., bonsai professional Evan Pardue will present a live demonstration on styling a bald cypress bonsai.

Admission is free and open to the public. 🌿
