Join Jefferson County 4-H on October 4th in the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Event Center from 1:00-2:30pm for our annual Open House! This is a great opportunity for new families to learn what our program is all about and find out how your child can find belonging in 4-H!

What is 4-H? We are a positive youth development program that focuses on providing young people with hands-on learning experiences that help them build life skills that they carry with them into adulthood. Skills like leadership, public speaking, responsibility, and working through challenges are all things that members learn in 4-H.

Youth join a club where they will connect with other kids and complete a project in something they are interested in, whether it be raising livestock or making a scrapbook. There are over 50 projects to explore! Come out to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds to meet our club leaders, check out project demonstrations, and learn what it means to be part of 4-H!

🎆 Fourth of July Fireworks Show Cancelled

The City of Arvada has made the difficult decision to cancel Saturday's professional Fourth of July fireworks show due to current wildfire conditions that make it unsafe to proceed.

This decision was made in close coordination with the Arvada Fire, the Fire Marshal, and the City's Emergency Manager after carefully evaluating current fire conditions, regional firefighting resources, and public safety risks.

While we know this news is disappointing, the safety of our community and first responders must come first.

The professional fireworks display will instead be part of the City's Veterans Day celebration this November. We'll share additional details about that event in the coming months.
