When you hire someone to “write blogs,” you're not really paying for words on a page.

At least, you shouldn't be.

You're investing in everything that happens BEFORE and AFTER those words are written.

Keyword research.

Topic research.

Competitor research.

SEO strategy.

Content planning.

Internal linking.

On-page optimization.

Publishing.

Tracking.

Reporting.

And continuing to adjust the strategy based on what's actually working.

That's why I don't think of Content Studio as simply a blogging service.

**It's a content engine for your website.**

The goal is to consistently build the depth, relevance and authority of your website so your business has more opportunities to show up — whether someone is searching on Google or asking AI.

Because your expertise already exists.

We just need to make sure the internet knows about it. 💜

MONDAY MARKETING TIP: Search is changing.

At the end of last week, I pulled 20+ monthly marketing reports for my clients, and I noticed a pretty clear trend across the board:

Google numbers are down.

Across different businesses and industries, I’m seeing decreases in Google Business Profile views, website clicks, search traffic and other interactions.

Does that mean Google or your GBP isn't important anymore? Absolutely not.

Your Google Business Profile still needs to be optimized, active and consistently updated.

BUT… people are changing how they search.

More people are turning to ChatGPT and other AI platforms to ask questions, research businesses and get recommendations.

That means we can't focus on traditional SEO alone anymore.

We need to be asking:

🤖 Can AI understand what your business does?
📍 Does it know where you provide services?
📝 Does your website have helpful, relevant content?
⭐ Are you building authority across the web?

SEO isn't disappearing. It's expanding.

Keep pushing your Google presence — but make sure you're also thinking about your AI SEO strategy.

The shift is here, and we’re already seeing the impact. It’s time to adapt your marketing strategy now — because businesses that don’t evolve risk getting left behind. 💜

I've been talking a LOT about blogging lately — but I want to make one thing very clear:

**More blogs doesn't automatically mean better SEO.**

Not all blogs are created equal.

You can publish article after article, but if there's no keyword research, no strategy, no internal linking, no connection to your services and no understanding of what your customers are actually searching for…

You're creating content just to create content.

A quality SEO blog should have a job.

Maybe it's answering a question your ideal customer is searching.

Maybe it's building authority around an important service.

Maybe it's helping Google better understand your expertise.

Or maybe it's giving AI another strong piece of information it can use when answering someone's question.

**The goal isn't to fill your website with blogs.**

The goal is to build a library of useful content that strengthens your entire online presence.

That's what we're building with Content Studio.

“We already have blogs on our website.”

Great.

But when was the last one published? 👀

I regularly look at business websites where the last blog post is from 2022… or 2020… or sometimes even earlier.

Your business has changed since then.

Your customers' questions have changed.

Google has changed.

And the way people search with AI has REALLY changed.

Your website shouldn't be something you built once and left sitting there.

Fresh, relevant content gives you opportunities to answer new questions, target new searches, support your services and continue building your authority online.

And we're seeing this firsthand.

On websites where we've increased the amount of **quality, strategic content being published**, we're seeing increases in website visibility and traffic.

Your old content still has value.

But your website needs to keep growing along with your business.

“Can't I just have ChatGPT write my blogs?”

Yep.

But there's a BIG difference between asking AI to:

“Write me a blog about _____.”

…and using AI as part of an actual SEO and content strategy.

What keyword are you targeting?

What questions are people actually searching?

What content already ranks?

What topics are missing from your website?

How does the article support your services?

What should it internally link to?

Is it written for your location and audience?

Does it demonstrate actual expertise?

AI can be an incredible tool — I use AI every day.

But **AI is the tool. Strategy is what makes the tool valuable.**

Publishing 10 generic AI-written blogs isn't the goal.

Publishing content that has a PURPOSE is.

That's the difference between simply creating content and building a content strategy.

Another one I hear all the time:

**“I can write my own blogs and send them to you.”**

And you absolutely can.

But then business happens. 😂

Clients need you. Emails pile up. Employees need something. Kids have somewhere to be. And that blog that's been sitting half-written for three months keeps moving further down the list.

I've watched this happen with clients over and over again.

The problem isn't that you *can't* write a blog.

It's that consistently researching, writing, optimizing, publishing and tracking content takes TIME.

And consistency matters.

That's one of the reasons I'm so excited about Content Studio. Instead of blogging being the thing you'll “get to eventually,” we can build an actual content strategy around your business and consistently execute it.

You keep running your business.

We'll keep giving Google and AI new reasons to find it.

“But Lisa, my clients don’t read blogs…”

I hear this ALL the time.

And my answer is: **They don’t have to. Google + AI do.**

Your blog isn't only there for someone to sit down with their morning coffee and read all 1,200 words.

Quality blog content helps Google and AI platforms understand:

→ What your business does
→ What you're an expert in
→ What questions you can answer
→ What services you provide
→ Where you provide them
→ Why your business may be a relevant answer to someone's search

Think about how YOU search now. You might ask Google or ChatGPT a very specific question and expect an answer without ever thinking, “I wonder if this company has a blog?”

But the content on those websites helps search engines and AI find those answers.

So no, your clients don't necessarily have to read every blog you publish.

**But you definitely want Google and AI reading them.**

That's a big reason I've added Content Studio as an option for my clients — creating consistent, strategic content designed for the way people are searching TODAY.

I hear this all the time from business owners:

“I can write my own blogs.”
Or lately… “Can’t I just have AI write them?”

And yes—you absolutely can.

But not all blogs are created equal.

A blog can be beautifully written and still do very little for your SEO or help your business get found in AI searches.

There’s strategy behind a quality SEO blog: understanding what people are actually searching for, using the right keywords naturally, answering real questions, structuring the content so search engines and AI can understand it, adding internal links, demonstrating expertise, and making sure it actually relates back to your business.

AI can be an AMAZING tool for creating content—I use it too! But you have to know what to ask it, what information to give it, and how to take what it produces and turn it into strategic content for your website.

We've been increasing the amount of quality, SEO-focused content on several client websites, and we're seeing the traffic increases to back it up. 📈

So yes, 4–6+ blogs a month can be a powerful part of your SEO and AI search strategy.

But publishing six blogs just to say you published six blogs isn't the goal.

Quality + Strategy + Consistency is what matters.

If you're spending hours writing blogs—or asking AI to write them for you—make sure that content is actually working as hard for your business as you are.

08/17/2026

I've been noticing something interesting in my client reports lately... 👀

On websites where we've increased the amount of quality, helpful blog content being published each month, we're also seeing significant increases in website traffic.

And that's becoming even more important as search changes.

Google isn't the only place people are searching anymore. They're asking ChatGPT and other AI tools questions, looking for recommendations, and researching businesses in completely different ways.

One of the ways we're adapting? More consistent, high-quality content.

For some of my clients, we've increased from 1–2 blogs a month to 4–6+ strategic blogs that answer real questions their customers are searching for.

More quality content gives search engines and AI systems more information to understand who you are, what you know, what services you offer, and why your business may be relevant to a search.

And we're already seeing the traffic move in the right direction. 📈

If your content strategy still looks exactly like it did two years ago, it may be time for an update.
