🌱 SSRF Community Agriculture Visit – Kembe Boma
South Sudan Relief Foundation (SSRF) recently visited a group of women farmers in Kembe Boma to monitor their vegetable farming activities and appreciate the progress made since receiving extension services from SSRF.
We are encouraged to see that the tomato gardens are doing very well, demonstrating the commitment, hard work, and determination of the women farmers. 🌱🍅
This progress reminds us that when communities are supported with the right knowledge, skills, and guidance, they can turn small opportunities into sustainable livelihoods.
SSRF remains committed to supporting women and communities through agricultural extension services, skills development, food production, and livelihood strengthening.
Keep growing, keep learning, and keep believing in the potential of your hands. Together, we can build resilient and self-reliant communities. 💚

*MESSAGE FROM SOUTH SUDAN RELIEF FOUNDATION (SSRF) ON THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE - 21st September 2026*
On this International Day of Peace, South Sudan Relief Foundation joins the world under the theme: *"Act Now for a More Peaceful World."*
For us in South Sudan, peace is not just a word. It is the sound of children returning to school, mothers farming without fear, youth choosing tools over guns, and communities sitting together again.
We have seen the pain of conflict, but we have also seen the power of forgiveness, dialogue, and unity.
Today, SSRF reaffirms its commitment to:
- Promote community dialogue and healing
- Support vulnerable families to rebuild with dignity
- Empower youth and women as champions of peace
Peace begins with each of us. In our homes, in our words, in how we treat our neighbor.
Let us choose peace today, for South Sudan and for the world.

Between July 18–20, 2025, the South Sudan Relief Foundation (SSRF) conducted a multisectoral rapid assessment at Nyarigolo IDP site in Morobo County, home to over 8,400 displaced individuals.
The report highlights urgent needs in shelter, WASH, health, food security, education, and protection sectors. Despite some humanitarian aid delivered, significant gaps remain, especially in access to clean water, learning materials, and livelihood support.

📻 On Air for Menstrual Hygiene Awareness | Spirit FM - 99.9 - Yei
Today, South Sudan Relief Foundation (SSRF) was honored to participate in a live radio talk show on 99.9 Fm Yei, where our team discussed the importance of menstrual hygiene education and dignity for adolescent girls, both in and out of school.
Representing SSRF were Mrs. Suzan Alomo and our Executive Director, Mr. John Bangutu Abudu, who were joined by a colleague Mr Isaac Mamur Santos from our partner organization, Youth, women and Peace advancement initiative..
The discussion highlighted the need to break the stigma surrounding menstruation, improve access to accurate information and menstrual hygiene products, and encourage communities, schools, and stakeholders to support girls so they can stay healthy, confident, and continue their education without barriers.
We sincerely thank UNICEF South Sudan for supporting this important initiative and Spirit 99.9 FM Yei for providing a platform to amplify these critical conversations. Together, we can ensure that every girl manages her menstruation with dignity and confidence.
