📸 Celebrating SG60: Portraits of Singapore Icons 🇸🇬✨

In June this year, Wee's Collection : Singapore Time Tunnel Musuem had the privilege of hosting Singapore Global Network’s (SGN) special SG60 coverage. The project covers the portraits of 6 unique individuals behind Singapore’s cultural and philanthropic landscape.

Many would remember her as Daisy Matthews, a single, twenty-something advertising professional who would lend car rides to her neighbour’s children, and constantly bicker with her on-screen younger sibling, Michael in our first English sitcom "Under One Roof"!

From Bombay to Bishan, Veteran Singaporean actolress and producer Daisy Irani Subaiah’s missive to the country she’s called home for the last 34 years.
Daisy Irani Subaiah is no stranger to Singapore’s small and big screens, or to its theatre stages. A veteran actor and producer, she has continued to win the hearts of Singaporeans with her endearing roles in shows and her boundary-breaking work for HuM Theatre.

Singapore has taught Daisy a lot; that small countries can dream big, that diversity isn’t a problem to solve, if anything, it’s a gift to celebrate; and that food is a love language.

Catch her story here too:

Remember how the soya bean milk from Yeo Hiap Seng Bottled Drinks tasted like?

Yeo Hiap Seng (Yeo's) began as a soy sauce shop founded in China in 1900 by Yeo Keng Lian, later relocating to Singapore in 1938 under his son, Yeo Thian In. The company rapidly expanded from its original soy sauce products to become a major food and beverage manufacturer, known for its innovative soy milk and canned Asian dishes. After being listed on the Singapore Exchange in 1968, the company diversified into property development and eventually transitioned from family control to majority ownership by the Far East Organisation in the mid-1990s.
