A LONG, ROUGH & TOUGH JOURNEY TO THE HIGHLANDS OF MALAITA ISLAND. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE. To succeed and have the works completed to the standard discussed and planned in the offices in Honiara and overseas, is not always as simple or easy as one might imagine when it comes to implementation in the rural off-grid communities. This is the long, rough and tough journey to Gwaiau School in the highlands of Malaita Island. This is more than 5 hours of hand and shoulder carrying of heavy solar items, on foot, up the hills and down the valleys before reaching the work site. Our team who was assigned to work on this school was very grateful for the great 💪💪 and unconditional help the people offerred so that their school also progress in education infrastructure development.
