We generally pride ourselves on making fresh baguettes for our BnB guests, but thought we'd mix it up a bit today. So, focaccia it is.

We're so proud to share that Limestone Valley Estate has won not one but TWO Silver Awards at the 2026 Supreme Oil Awards, presented by the NZ Lavender Growers Association - for our Lavandula Angustifolia 'Pacific Blue' and our Lavandula x Intermedia 'Grosso'!

What makes this extra special is that this is our very first distilling season on the farm. First year withthe still, first attempt - and to come away with two Silver Awards is beyond what we imagined.

This is what you could have woken up to this morning here on the farm. The weather is looking beautiful for the weekend. Get in touch if you think you fancy getting away from it all over the long weekend.

The lavenders are at their very best and the weather is stunning here. Come on down. Explore the sculpture garden and chill in the lavender rows. You'll likely see Mike hard at work harvesting the lavender in the back field, and distilling our essential oil that will go into all our natural products in the coming year.

Happy New Year to everyone! This year has been another active one in our little lavender empire-building exercise. We have been busier than ever with our lavender products and welcoming guests to our farmstay.
Two major developments in the last few months have been me changing to a day job where I am working from home - This has allowed me to replace my morning commute with walks with Mike and the dogs in the lavenders, saying hello to the alpacas and Fred the sheep.
The other seriously major (and exciting) change has been the installation of our custom-made still to allow us to distill our lavender oils here on the farm. Thank you to Paul Greaves and all his work designing & building specifically for us. Also a massive thanks to Charlotte and Keith at Herbal Visionz for all their support, sharing their passion for lavender and distilling since our arrival here in the South Island.
We were happy to have all our children here for the holidays this year - And surely they will all tell you that the most precious gift they received was their bottle of Pacific Blue essential oil - Mike takes the credit for the label - 'Still number One'!
Our challenge for the new year is to get down to harvesting & distilling the lot. Wish us luck!
