Te Awamutu Health Shuttle. Transport from Te Awamutu & Kihikihi to Hospital appointments in Hamilton. We can accommodate early morning appointments.
Our vans run back and forth to Hamilton multiple times a day, to minimise wait times. We have a wheelchair hoist in one of our vans and have an anchor and teether for children's car seats. Our volunteers are able to escort clients to and from the clinic reception and a wheelchair is available if needed. You can bring a support person with you (space permitting). Our Booking Line is open 9am-3.30pm Monday - Friday (excluding public holidays). Booking must be made by 3.30pm the business day prior to travel. For further information, or to make a booking, please call us on 07-870-3258.
We are looking for more superstar volunteers. If you can commit to 1 to 2 full days a month and want to be part of an amazing team, please get in touch by phoning 07 870 3258.
Big thank you to Withers Electrical for doing a speedy repair for us. Much appreciated.
Good morning community
Our Health Shuttle services will close down for Christmas as follows:
Last Shuttle day will be Wednesday 17 December 2025.
Full shuttle services will resume on Monday 12 January 2026.
Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas.
Just wanted to put a big thankyou out to all our lovely volunteers who put in many hours of work. You are very much appreciated by myself and all the people you transport.
To all our wonderful clients. As the shuttle service increases in clients each day, please ensure you book your appointments as soon as you receive them. This will ensure you a seat on the Shuttle.
