JointWorks Studio

After weaving for a time, I found an unwanted friend on my warp. Not what I wanted.... she left without damaging anything.

My new project- deflected doubleweave scarves. You can see that i used the sectional beam to put the warp on the loom

This is my next attempt at sectional warping. I put the inch group on using the raddle instead of the tension box. It seems a slow way of setting up the loom but I shall persevere

Using the sectional beam on my loom for the first time. I wound 1 inch groups on warping mill and then wound each inch separately on to the beam. In the end I didn't need the tension box just put threads on raddle. I wanted a way to put a warp on the loom by myself.

I went from a messy beginning to woven teatowels. #

Chess boards, just finished another couple....
48mm squares
Bubinga / Yunan poplar, with swamp kauri back
Bubinga / Yunan poplar, with mahogany back
40mm squares
Ash / Bubinga, with yunan poplar back
Kauri / Swamp kauri, with swamp kauri back

My new warp on the loom. Classic blue and white teatowels #

You can never have enough boards! Endgrain, normal side grain, even a round one. Ready for those summer outdoor events

Some black possum merino wraps. Unusual for me as I rarely do all black warps. This has a pattern in it as well

JointWorks Studio will be closed on Sat 8th and Sun 9th of November. But we will be open at fete on Sunday. Hope to see you there
