4 easy ways to start your day with Beta Bites 🥕
Getting your veg in before 9am can feel like a stretch, but Beta Bites make it surprisingly easy. Here are four simple ways to add them to breakfast:
Carrot-cake oats – Stir grated Beta Bites through your porridge with cinnamon and raisins for a cosy carrot-cake twist.
Breakfast hash – Dice and pan-fry with onion and potato for a hearty side with eggs.
Egg muffins – Fold finely diced Beta Bites into egg muffins with spinach and cheese for an easy grab-and-go breakfast.
Simple and raw – Enjoy them with hummus or nut butter alongside eggs or toast for a little extra crunch and fibre.
Small, sweet and full of goodness, Beta Bites are an easy way to start the day with more veg.
What’s your go-to breakfast veg trick? Let us know in the comments.
Another great planting day at our Hauturu farm in Pukekawa.
For the third year running, we’ve teamed up with Trees for Survival and Pukekawa School to plant native trees, helping protect waterways and enhance local biodiversity.
A big thanks to everyone who got involved and helped make the day such a success.

We’re incredibly proud to share that James Blair has been named the 2026 New Zealand Young Grower of the Year!
After winning the Pukekohe regional title earlier this year, James progressed to the national final in Cromwell, competing against six regional champions from across the country.
The competition tested finalists across practical, technical and professional disciplines, including horticultural knowledge, problem-solving, leadership and communication.
James represented A.S. Wilcox with professionalism, humility and excellence throughout the competition. This is an outstanding and thoroughly deserved achievement.
Congratulations, James. We’re all incredibly proud of you!

Spotted a sprout? It’s all part of the process.
Sprouting is a natural part of a potato’s growth cycle and can happen as the weather starts to warm up.
If the sprouts are small, simply flick them off, then cook and enjoy your potatoes as usual.
Easy as that.
