Imagine living with a scream inside you.

Usually in the initial stages of loss, there is overwhelming support, but as time goes on this support can slowly drop off. Anniversaries and special dates can be missed.
If someone close to you is on the grief journey, try your best to check in and remember certain milestones - your acknowledgment can make a world of difference to their day.

🌹 Check in on them
🌹 Be understanding of the process
🌹 Listen
🌹 Don't compare
🌹 Offer help - simple things can get overlooked by someone who's grieving.

Grief belongs to the person who's grieving, nothing can take the pain away, but your support means the world to someone.

There is something profound about keeping people’s memories alive — their stories, their feelings, and the essence of who they were, long after they’re gone.

The people we love become part of who we are. They bring out parts of us that may only exist when we’re with them — the way we laugh, the things we share, the person we become in their presence.

And when we miss them, perhaps we also miss the version of ourselves that existed alongside them.
A piece of them lives on in us, just as a piece of who we were with them does too. ❤️

Mourners stop the clocks when a loved one died.
One of the less commonly used rituals these days, is for mourners to stop the clocks in the room or house where a loved one passed away.
This was a popular ritual during the Victorian period and was originally thought to prevent bad luck, as well as symbolise the loved one’s passage into a new life without time.
It was commonly done in conjunction with covering the mirrors, closing the curtains and turning over portraits of the loved one.
