The proof is in the puppy.
Hi, my name is Julie, and I am a boutique breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I am proud to say that I do the very best I can for the litters I have by bringing them through the Puppy Culture Breeding Program and you can tell because the proof is in the puppy. I have created this group to adopt out new puppies, share pictures, stories and ideas that may help your journey with you baby a little easier.

I am not exactly sure how this is gonna work?

💕 Little Winnie knows exactly what she likes! 🐾
This little sweetheart absolutely LOVES her tummy rubs! 🥰
She’ll happily lie there soaking up all the attention, but the moment you stop, she starts wriggling around, making it very clear that she hasn’t finished yet! 😂❤️
Apparently, tummy rubs are an unlimited service around here, and Winnie is determined to make sure we know it! 🐶💕
🌸 A little reminder about gentle puppy handling: Always let puppies choose whether they want cuddles and tummy rubs. Use soft, gentle hands, support their little bodies when picking them up, and watch their body language. Pause regularly to give them the opportunity to move away or ask for more. Some of them just don’t like it. Yet. 💕
Positive, respectful handling from an early age helps puppies develop trust, confidence and a lifelong love of human interaction. 🐾❤️

🐾 When life gives you a problem… turn it into a puppy adventure! 🐶🌿
Of all the places in the garden, where do the puppies love exploring? Of course, the one area with a plant that’s toxic to dogs! 🙈
So rather than simply blocking off their favourite little adventure spot, I’ve come up with another idea!
These old planters are getting a new lease on life as puppy exploration tunnels! 🐾
With a little trimming to clear the way and some rubber edging to cover any sharp metal, the puppies will have their very own tunnels to investigate, explore and build confidence in.
I love finding ways to turn everyday things into opportunities for enrichment. Different surfaces, interesting spaces, new experiences and the freedom to explore at their own pace.
Because enrichment doesn’t have to be expensive or fancy. Sometimes it just takes a little imagination! 💙

📦🐶 Just like children! 😂❤️
You go out and buy them something new and exciting to play with, and what do they want?
THE BOX! 🤣
Brand-new play equipment, lovely colourful ramps and obstacles, all set up for some fun and exploration.
But nooooo… apparently the cardboard box it came in is MUCH more exciting! 😂
And who do you think started it all?
Their mother, of course! 🤦♀️🤣
Nothing like Mum leading by example and showing the kids how to cause a little chaos!
Meanwhile, I’m left with a lounge full of shredded cardboard and a bunch of very happy Cavaliers.
Who needs expensive toys when you’ve got a box and a mother who encourages mischief? 🤣❤️

🐾 Gentle hands encourage gentle mouths! ❤️
This is something I deliberately practise with every litter of puppies I raise, because I’ve seen the difference it can make.
When I interact with my puppies, I often use a very light, feather-soft touch. Rather than rough play or exciting them with my hands, I encourage calm, gentle interaction.
And the results are lovely! 🥰
When they mouth my fingers, they can be incredibly gentle. They can nibble away without hurting me because they’re learning to use their mouths softly rather than biting down hard.
Puppies naturally explore with their mouths, and learning to control the pressure of their bite is an important developmental skill called bite inhibition.
I use these gentle interactions alongside the lessons puppies learn from their littermates. It’s something I begin early and practise consistently throughout their time with me.
Of course, puppies still get excited, and those little needle teeth can certainly make themselves felt! 😂 But I want them to have plenty of opportunities to practise being gentle.
It’s not about stopping puppies from using their mouths. It’s about helping them learn how to use them gently.
Sometimes the lightest touch can make a wonderful difference. ❤️
