🐴 RIDING LESSONS – SILVERSTREAM VALLEY ROAD 🐴
I’m opening up some spaces for riding lessons, with a focus on building confident, capable riders who can eventually enjoy riding outside the arena too.

Saturday 🐎 Kids Beginner Group – 11.30am
For kids who are new to riding or still building their confidence.

🐎 Intermediate Teens & Adults – 1pm
For riders who already have some experience and want to keep progressing.

Adult Beginner Group
🐎 Sunday mornings / weekday evenings – exact time to be confirmed depending on numbers.

Lessons are 1 hour group lessons – $45 per rider.

As well as riding, we cover the practical side of horsemanship too, including ground handling, grooming, tacking up and horse care. These happen outside the one-hour riding session, so please allow some extra time before and after your lesson.
As the weather improves, we’ll start incorporating farm trail rides into lessons, with the aim of building riders up to being confident and capable enough to join our beach rides.

🌊 Monthly Group Beach Ride
I’m also planning to run a group beach ride approximately once a month.
Riding school students – $55 per person.

Because I’m returning to shift work, lesson times may occasionally need to vary, so there will be some flexibility around the regular times when my roster changes.

Love a good beach ride!

We’ve had a busy and exciting start to the summer with all of our Kaimanawas making wonderful progress!
Ambrosio, 7 year old, 13.3hh mare from the April muster, has just begun her backing process. She’s been out walking around the farm following a friend and is proving to be such a willing, kind, and sensitive partner. A pleasure to work with every day.
Apache, 4 year old, 14.2hh gelding from the July muster, has been under saddle for 12 or so inconsistent weeks and is easily our most advanced horse at the moment. He’s already jumping, confidently working through all three paces, and absolutely loves attention. Whether trekking out solo or with company, he’s always ready for an adventure! Apache will be coming up for sale over the next month, so keep an eye out for this sweet and talented boy.
Locky. 7 year old, 14.2hh mare from the April muster, is currently busy being the best mum to her beautiful 3 month old filly, Rumi. The pair adore their scratches and are happily enjoying the summer grass together.
Espionage, 3 year old, 14.1hh mare from the July muster, is spending her days raising her cheeky 2 month old c**t, Rebel. A sweet and sensitive pair, Rebel’s still a little unsure about people but growing braver and bolder every day.
Kaiti, Our newest addition! A lovely 10 year old mare from the 2018 muster who’s come to me for some work. Today she had her first sit, which went beautifully! I’m really looking forward to getting to know her and working with her further.

Day 2 at Willowbridge
Clara on Leah and Olivia on Deception both qualified in the 10km today and 20km yesterday.
Erynn on Cooper got second in the 40km. Hasse got first on a catch ride in the 40km.
Kyrie on Syrah and willow on dusty got 1st and second in the 5km lead rein.
Yesterday we had hasse on Tokyo, qualified in 40km
And kyrie on Syrah and I on Dusty both qualified in the 20km.
