It’s not all about keeping boats moving — sometimes it’s about making sure our team keeps moving forward too.

This week TS Marine sent Nicole, one of our outboard technicians, across to Australia for Mercury technical training, getting hands-on with the latest Mercury outboard technology, diagnostics, rigging and systems.

As marine technology continues to evolve, ongoing factory training is a big part of making sure our technicians have the knowledge and skills to properly diagnose, service and repair the equipment we work on every day.

For TS Marine, investing in training means investing in our team — and ultimately providing a better level of service and technical support for our customers back here in Wellington.

Great opportunity for Nicole to build on her skills, get hands-on with the latest Mercury gear and bring that knowledge back to the rest of the workshop.

Another club fleet taken care of!

The TS Marine team has been out at Heretaunga Boating Club, carrying out servicing and maintenance on their fleet of support boats.

Our mobile servicing capability means clubs don’t need to organise getting an entire fleet across town to a workshop — we can bring the workshop to you and work through multiple vessels on site, helping minimise downtime and keep the fleet ready for the season.

We can look after the complete package too — all makes and models of outboards, electrical, steering, fuel systems, general boat repairs and trailers.

We’re proud to already look after a growing number of club and support-boat fleets around the Wellington region and appreciate Heretaunga Boating Club trusting TS Marine with theirs.

Two boats through the TS Marine workshop, both getting some worthwhile upgrades.

One received a full Yamaha service, along with an upgrade from mechanical cable steering to hydraulic steering.

The other has had a new Mercury FourStroke repower, also with a hydraulic steering upgrade to complete the package.

Both boats are now freshened up and ready to get back out on the water.

With a fleet of 10+ support boats, keeping everything serviced, reliable and ready to go takes a bit of coordination — and that’s where our mobile fleet servicing comes in.

Rather than moving an entire fleet to our workshop, the TS Marine team can come to you. We carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on site, helping clubs and commercial operators minimise downtime and keep their vessels operational.

Fresh power for the new season

This Worser Bay Boating Club RIB has been through the TS Marine workshop for a freshen-up, including a new Mercury 25hp FourStroke, hydraulic steering and updated electronics.

All set up, tested and ready to get back to work for the club season ahead.

We love seeing our customers out there getting stuck into it!

Check out this 43.6kg Southern Bluefin Tuna landed recently — an awesome fish and by the looks of it, it certainly didn’t go to waste! 👌🐟

Not your average day at the office!

Yesterday, TS Marine technician Dave swapped the workshop for the Cook Strait, joining a Bluebridge sailing to carry out specialist marine work and operational testing in a truly unique environment.

From working onboard the vessel to operational testing in Picton and returning to Wellington, it was a day that showcased the range of support our team can provide when customers need us on-site.

Dave recently joined the TS Marine team, with years of recreational and commercial marine experience he was right at home tackling a job that's a little outside the ordinary.
