Piano Bar Friday, Guest DJs Saturday, Live Jazz Sunday afternoon sessions. Live music, fine wines, bespoke cocktails and tasty small plates. Crown Range Cellar.
In 1865 the first Chinese miners arrived to dig for gold in the Otago goldfields ultimately establishing 25 communities in Central Otago and the West Coast. One of the most successful was Choie Sew Hoy who initiated innovations that led New Zealand to acquire a worldwide reputation. Our founder Jing Song, came, like the miners of yesteryear to New Zealand and found riches with a world wide reputation in the fertile land of Otago, the dark grapes of Otago Pinot Noirs, the intense reds from Hawke's Bay's Gimblett Gravels, the light amber of Waitaki Valley Pinot Gris, and the sparkle of Moutere Sauvignon Blancs. We unearth, we collaborate, we refine, and we share these exquisite and very limited discoveries with wine lovers the world over. Crown Range Cellar wines are artisan produced collaborations, crafted by some of the most respected wine makers and growers. To discover one of these rare wines yourself, is truly like striking gold. But this is 2021 not 1865 and while we're are very serious about quality, we're also whimsical, distinctive and exciting. Always searching, always looking to unearth a new find that gives the very fortunate few a rush. Our roots may have begun deep in the Otago Hills, but we also know there are remarkable discoveries to be made in the finest wine growing regions of the world. For we believe there are no boundaries to collaboration and talent. We'll prospect where the gold lies to bring you the remarkable. The Team
