Note: As we celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the First Catholic Church in Ashburton on Sunday, 19 July 2026, there will be only one Mass celebrated for the parish on that day.
Please note that there will be no 8:30 a.m. Mass in Methven and no 6:30 p.m. Mass in Rakaia.

Let us celebrate this historic milestone as one family in Christ. Your presence will make this joyful occasion even more meaningful.

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
Enrolment for confirmation is still open. Enrolment forms are available in the church foyers or in the parish office.

Please return it to the Parish Office at 58 Sealy Street, Ashburton or give to Marcos Mirabal, no later than 01 July (Wednesday).

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Bishop Michael Gielen on 27 September 2026 (Sunday), 2.00pm
at Holy Name Church, Ashburton

Heavenly Father, we lift up the nation and people of Venezuela before You. Bring comfort, protection, and hope to all those affected by the recent earthquakes. Heal the injured, give strength to those who are grieving, and provide for those facing loss and uncertainty.
