For individuals with aphasia, autistic adults, and others with communication challenges, these moments can build up - and make communication feel unsafe.
At its core, countering hate speech is about respect.
It looks like:
- giving time
- listening fully
- making space for different ways of expressing
Communication is not just about speed or clarity.
It’s about connection.
And everyone deserves to feel safe enough to try.
