🔲 Introducing ATLANTIDE — 50 metres of ambitious performance and distinctive design, with exterior design by Vitruvius and interior design by Liaigre.

As naval architect, Studio Mulder Design translated the bold design into a fully engineered platform. Working within the proportions established by the exterior design, we optimised the hull form using CFD analysis to combine high speed, triple-waterjet propulsion and shallow draft.

FEM analysis and an innovative aluminium-to-carbon-fibre roof connection delivered structural stiffness while keeping weight under control — supporting the design team’s vision.

🔲 Proud to share that MY Ursus has been named a finalist at the 2026 ISS Design & Leadership Awards!

The 30-metre motoryacht, rebuilt by Balk Shipyard with naval architecture and design by Studio Mulder Design, has been selected as a finalist in the Refit category. The nomination was revealed during the International Superyacht Society's Finalists Reception at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Ursus is the result of an extensive two-year rebuild that extended the hull by six metres and introduced a redesigned beach club, upgraded diesel-electric propulsion and expanded crew facilities, all while preserving the charm of the original yacht. This recognition follows her Judges' Commendation at the BOAT International 2026 World Superyacht Awards earlier this year.

The winners will be announced at the awards gala in Fort Lauderdale this October. A sincere thank you to our owners, to the team at Balk Shipyard and to everyone involved in this project.

🔲 Turning design ambition into a yacht that works: MY Ursus

A successful rebuild is about much more than what is visible on the surface. Behind the design sits a complex balance of naval architecture, structural engineering, systems integration, weight, space, serviceability and buildability.

For the rebuild of MY Ursus at Balk Shipyard, Mulder Design was responsible for the naval architecture and engineering, working closely with the yard and project team to translate the design and operational requirements into a technically integrated yacht.

That is where engineering adds real value: not as something separate from the design, but as the foundation that makes the complete yacht work.

🔲 Introducing the 50-metre Apex Concept,now in a sub-499 GT configuration

Following our 60-metre Apex Concept, Studio Mulder Design is pleased to present a 50-metre variant of the platform.

By staying below 499 GT, it pairs the presence of a full-custom motor yacht with the operational advantages of a sub-500 GT vessel,lighter manning, reduced regulatory scope and lower running costs, without compromising on volume or design ambition.

Naval architecture and exterior styling developed entirely in-house. 50.00m LOA, twin MTU engines, a top speed of 33 knots and a transatlantic range of 3,500 nm.

🔲 M/Y Spectre visited Amsterdam last week, and it's always a proud moment to see her.

The 69-metre Benetti motoryacht represents our ninth collaboration with the Staluppi family, and remains one of the most recognised yachts in her class. Since her delivery, Spectre has earned four international awards, including the World Superyacht Awards' Best Displacement M/Y (500–1,999 GT) and the Asia Boating Awards' Best Custom-Built Yacht in 2019.
