It's a Wrap! The International Telecommunication Union ITU has awarded certificates to participants who completed two courses under the Africa-BB-Maps training programme:

✅ Creating and Editing Data Using ArcGIS
✅ Deploying and Maintaining a Multiuser Geodatabase

This certification marks the successful completion of an intensive training journey, from foundational 2D editing to advanced enterprise geodatabase administration — and strengthens participants' practical skills in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data management for broadband mapping.

Day 4 Recap: GIS & Data Management Training – BB Mapping

Day 4 moved into geodatabase administration, covering:
✅ Establishing a data-owner account and loading, appending, importing, updating, and automating datasets while applying appropriate environment settings
✅ Lesson 14 – Configuring Privileges: Designing users and roles, securing credentials, assigning data privileges, and testing access to enforce appropriate geodatabase permissions
✅ Lesson 15 – Managing Storage: Explaining spatial storage options and customizing DBTUNE configuration parameters and keywords to control how geodatabase data is stored
✅ Lesson 16 – Maintaining the Geodatabase: Managing indexes, statistics, compression, locks, and scheduled/automated administrative tasks to maintain performance

From data loading to full geodatabase administration — the team is now equipped to manage GIS systems end-to-end! 💻
