The Maldives Nursing Council is the National Nursing Regulatory Authority established with the approval of president’s office in the year 1999.
Since then the council has been functioning on a regular basis. The Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council was formed under the Health Care Professional Act 15/13 on 05th October 2015. The enactment of this law granted additional powers to regulate and strengthen Nursing and Midwifery services in the Maldives.
