We are pursuing karate as a martial art by reviewing the kihon, kata, and weapons of karate and emphasizing the courtesy that modern societies are losing.
Welcome to the Official Page of Kyokushin-Kan Mauritius. π²πΊ We are duly affiliated with Kyokushin-kan International, Japan. π―π΅
Our motto: "π²πππ π·ππππππ πππππππ
!" Osu! π₯ The Kyokushin Karate-do federation Kyokushin-kan was established on January 13, 2003, following the wishes of the late President Mas Oyama, the founder of Kyokushin karate. The trainings are ido training, bunkai of kata, introduction of ancient weapons techniques (stick / sai / tonfa / nunchaku), and Incorporate elements training of fists using makiwara (rolled straw) and sunabukuro (sandbag), and Chinese martial arts (Iken). There are a wide variety of training methods. In Kyokushin karate match, a direct hit rule with bare hands and bare feet is adopted. Face attacks are prohibited, but at Kyokushinkan, the rules restrict the approach to the opponent unprotected, and the match is always held that assumes distance of face attack by hand technique.

π₯ Osu! The belt & dogi of Sosai Mas Oyama, founder of Kyokushin Karate! ππ―π΅
Some men wear a black belt, but Sosai Masutatsu Oyama WAS the black belt.
The founder of Kyokushin, Oyama was not just a 10th Dan, he was a living legend who proved karate with his own body. He fought 52 bulls, killed 3 with one hand, fought 300 men in 3 days β 100 fights every day. His Kyokushin means Ultimate Truth, and he built it on the idea that karate must be strong, real, and tested. That 10th Dan belt with 10 gold stripes is the highest rank in Kyokushin, a rank that no one can claim by exam β it is earned by a lifetime of sacrifice, spirit, and pain. When we see his gi and obi preserved, we remember his words: "Karate is not about winning, it is about never giving up." Osu!
