Supporting Smiling with Jerome 🤲💛

We are proud to support 'Smiling with Jerome', a non-profit organisation whose mission it is to be a pillar of support to individuals and their families in the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre (SAMOC). They offer help to patients in need, be it through emotional assistance, financial help, or making their stay at the SAMOC a bit easier through the Chemo Bags of Hope.

The 'Smiling with Jerome' initiative was founded by the Frendo family, who after the loss of their son Jerome to a rare form of cancer, decided to help out patients and families such as themselves, who are also facing hardship during long and trying hours of treatment.

It is our great honour to be able to provide items necessary for the Chemo Bags of Hope, give a helping hand to this initiative, and through their efforts, to those who are in need of support.

Our first FIL Trivia Night was one for the books 📖!

Yesterday afternoon, we gathered together to test our general knowledge in various topics, ranging from science and geography to pop-culture, history, and some company-related tidbits 🤓 It was fiery, intense, and it allowed us to bring our A-game to the tables for a night of fun facts and heated competition!

Congratulations to the winning team for being crowned our first ever Trivia Night Champions, and a big well done to everyone who joined us and stepped up for their group.

Last Friday, we organised a fundraiser and informative session on the important work carried out by Hospice Malta 🌻

Focusing on palliative care, Hospice Malta is there to provide a support system to patients who are suffering from life-altering illnesses. Hospice Malta offers physical, psychological, and spiritual help not only to the patients, but also to the families who are navigating difficult times.

In order to educate us on the areas that they specialise in, Hospice Malta's Community Services Coordinator, Christine Zammit, delivered an educational talk to our team, delving into the scope of their work and their positive impact on our community.

We also handed out a small token of appreciation to everyone who donated - a sunflower desk decoration that symbolises care, compassion, and dignity 🤲

A big thank you to Hospice Malta for their tireless work and for always being there for those in need of help. We are honoured to support an initiative that is actively impacting the lives of thousands of people 💛

As a CSR initiative for the month of July, we decided to turn our reception area into a food collection spot, allowing our employees to donate food for those in need and contribute to the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation's cause of fighting hunger in Malta.

By collecting 20 boxes of non-perishable food items, we made sure that families who are struggling to afford groceries are offered emergency food packs filled with nutritionally balanced meals. Such cases may involve unfavourable situations due to benefit delays, sickness, homelessness, and low income among others, which is why we were honoured to assist the FoodBank Lifeline Foundation in preventing both children and adults from experiencing hunger, regardless of their circumstances.
