Pink October, this year, was jointly coordinated between the teams of United Group Ltd – Head Office and the Hertz Malta team with initiatives to raise awareness on breast cancer and funds which would support breast cancer fighters and their families. Proceeds from these initiatives were presented to Esther Sant – Chairperson and Co-Founder of Action for Breast Cancer Foundation Malta by Marita Scerri – Group HR Manager and Ron Scerri – General Manager Hertz Malta on behalf of the respective companies.

The teams at United Group of Companies - Malta Head Office and Hertz Malta Head Office joined forces for Action For Breast Cancer Foundation Malta last month.

Informative videos about the prevention of Breast Cancer were shown over some tea, coffee and treats. The book titled ‘HER WAY’, honouring the life of Helen Muscat – one of the founding members of the Foundation was also bought by some members of the team to help raise more funds for the foundation.

A donation collected by all participants together with the proceeds from the sale of this book will be presented to Action for Breast Cancer Foundation in the coming days. The group would like to thank Action For Breast Cancer Foundation for their continuous work in raising awareness and supporting both the fighters and their families for the last 15 years.

United Group's CSR Programme is ongoing, and this time the team got together to help the children currently being hospitalised in Mater Dei's Pediatric Ward; A small toy to help put a smile on these angels' faces. A donation was pooled, doubled up by the Group's Directors to purchase a number of gifts for the children, which the nurses will kindly distribute for Easter. Special thanks goes to the directors and team of the group, as well as to Swanky Boutique for offering us special prices so we could gift more children. Wishing a Blessed Easter to all

What Soup Kitchen OFM - Valletta is doing with the homeless is so admirable, thanks to a small group of very dedicated individuals who volunteer their time and skills to be of service to the community. This is why we, at United Group, have chosen to make a contribution to this facility this Christmas. We were taken around the premises and met some of the lovely souls who are making this happen day in day out. Thank you to all at Soup Kitchen for everything you do.
