Ġuf at Blue Box Theatre, Msida by Andre Penza
I had the opportunity to attend the general rehearsal of Ġuf, written by Mario Micallef, and it proved to be a powerful and engaging experience. The script constantly opens new scenarios, keeping the audience guessing right until the very end, with a truly unexpected twist.
Sarah Camilleri delivers a compelling performance as the unfortunate girl at the heart of the story. Her use of pauses, movement, and emotional control creates a deeply immersive experience that keeps the audience fully engaged throughout.
This is not simply a story to reflect upon, but a reality that many women continue to live through, even today.
I strongly encourage the public to attend the performances at Blue Box Theatre over the next two days.
