For World Cleanup Day, we put our focus on the Polverista area.

Our Champions of Nature team took on the difficult task of clearing literally tons of waste left behind by previous squatters, including over 50 syringes.

This is only the beginning. Our aim is to gradually restore this beautiful area, giving it a new purpose as a safe, sustainable space where our Scouts can meet, learn, explore and carry out activities in nature.

Step by step, we hope to turn the Polverista into a place that young scouts could enjoy for years to come.⚜️

Zero swim training. Minimal trail running experience. Just pure Scouting spirit.

A couple of our Rovers took on the Swim Run challenge, stepping outside our comfort zone and facing something completely new.

It wasn’t about being the fastest or reaching podium, it was about persevering, supporting each other, and not giving up when things got tough.

We hope our Rovers’ example can inspire our younger Scouts to embrace challenges, push their limits, and remember that perseverance is part of the Scouting spirit. ⚜️

Last week we had a Location Hunt & BBQ planned as part of the Rover Induction program by one of our newest rovers, Karl Bonello.

We were also joined by fellow Rovers from Zejtun Scout Group to further enhance this scouting experience of teamwork, friendly competition and more laughs.

Well done to Karl for putting this activity all together and to everyone who came along.⚜️

Our Rovers took on a special HYROX challenge organised by Endure Fitness, putting their strength, endurance, teamwork and determination to the test!

From one challenge to the next, everyone pushed themselves out of their comfort zone, supported their teammates and showed what Rover spirit is all about. It was tough, competitive, and most importantly, a lot of fun!

A huge thank you to Endure Fitness for organising such a great challenge and giving our Rovers the opportunity to put themselves to the test.⚜️

🌍 Rover Abroad – Lithuania 🇱🇹

Our Rover Yana Caruana is currently representing Malta and the Fgura Scout Group at an Erasmus+ youth exchange in Skautų slėnis – Lakeside Camp, Lithuania.

From sharing Maltese culture to building new friendships around the campfire, every experience is helping her grow. Opportunities like these are at the heart of the Rover Programme, forging character, building confidence, and broadening horizons.

We wish Yana all the best for the rest of her adventure! 💚

💜 Ready, Steady, Cook... Colour Edition! 💛

Last week's Rover meeting was a culinary battle between Purple and Yellow, with a colourful twist on the classic Ready, Steady, Cook challenge, led by our very own Mikhail Agius.

With creativity, teamwork, and a few questionable culinary decisions along the way, both teams put together some fantastic dishes using the colours they were given.

After a tough judging session, there could only be one winner...

🏆 Congratulations to Team Purple! 💜

A big well done to everyone who took part and made the evening such a fun and memorable one.

Summer Camp 2026 - Rovers Advanced Party⚜️

As part of the induction process for two of our newest Rovers, Andrew Lombardo and Yana Caruana, took on the challenge of preparing a full three-course meal in the outdoors, putting our teamwork, creativity, and cooking skills to the test.

From planning and preparation to cooking and serving, the evening was a great opportunity to showcase the spirit of Rovering: learning by doing, stepping outside our comfort zones, and sharing memorable experiences with others. We were also delighted to welcome friends from outside the Scout Movement, giving them a glimpse into the adventures, skills, and camaraderie that make Rovering so special.

A huge well done to everyone involved, especially our squires, who rose to the challenge!⚜️
