On another note, while we are always determined to compete, perform well and win matches, football is about much more than the final score.

Yesterday's match was completely one-sided, and although we are proud of our players' efforts, no one truly enjoys winning by such a large margin. We would much rather see a competitive match where both teams are challenged and given the opportunity to develop.

👏 Hats off to Żejtun Corinthians! Despite the difficult scoreline, their players never gave up, continued fighting and gave their all until the final whistle. That determination deserves our full respect. 💚💛

We also believe that the MFA and YFA need to seriously consider the growing concern surrounding such one-sided matches and extremely high scorelines in youth football. These situations benefit neither team, particularly at an age where player development, confidence and competitive experience should always come first.

Football at youth level should be about development, learning, respect and meaningful competition!

💚💛 Well done to our boys for their performance, and respect once again to Żejtun Corinthians for their fighting spirit!
