Thank you for these b&w moments ❤️

A little time has passed since the Colony winter dance summit, but some things stay with us.

〰️ Movements that still live in the body.
〰️ Conversations that continue to echo.
〰️ Warm memories that each of us carried home.

Thank you to everyone who made this year’s dance summit so special. Your words, energy, and presence meant so much. 🐠🤍

Our bodies and hearts filled with joy as international currents of urban dance reach Lithuania’s regions 🌊

“We are delighted that our collaboration with the Radviliškio miesto kultūros centras has opened up international dance perspectives for eight dancers from this region. We warmly encourage all dancers across Lithuania who are seeking professionalism and international opportunities to join us. Mark your calendars and take part next year, in wintery February 2027,” invites Laurynas Žakevičius, co-founder of “Low Air.”

The partnership was implemented within the framework of the project “Cultural Connections: Open Workshops.”

11th C O L O N Y winter dance summit once again reminded us how essential it is to be together. To share space, the floor, movement, energy, ideas, food, and the magic nature around us.

It was a week full of exchange, artistic growth, and deep listening to our bodies. A week filled with dance, community, coziness, freezing temperatures, and the snowy Nida. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this unique experience 🩵

🤸🪼 We are deeply grateful to 7 inspiring teachers for the pure joy of movement. To Natalia Iwaniec for sharing the Gaga movement language, Dovydas Strimaitis for contemporary classes, Dominyka Markevičiūtė and Povilas for inspiring partnering & CI sessions, Kozo for popping, KIMBO for bringing the unique spirit of House, and Frieda Frost for fun, floorwork, and composition.

Special thanks to artists in residence Silke Z. and Liisa Pentti for opening their creative process of “The Ageing Body Pro Series – Solo 1 – Remembering Forward” and for the meaningful discussion with Dovydas, Frieda, Silke Z., Liisa, Povilas, Dominyka and Andrius.

We also thank artists in residence Frieda Frost and Airida Gudaitė for enriching the Colony winter dance summit with their presence and for deepening the dialogue on dance through embodied practice, exchange, and collaborative research.

Thank you to Andrius Katinas and Laurynas Žakevičius for generously sharing their knowledge how to build and pitch.

Hello from a wintery Nida! 🐠

The sea is calm. The sun is out. The air is crisp. And we’re here.
This week we inhabit ourselves and this magical place together.

🧊

Today we celebrate the love that brings us together - love for dance, for movement, and for the beautiful community we share 🫂✨

Grateful for every body, every heartbeat, every shared moment of movement at Colony winter dance summit through 10 years.

Excited to dive back into dance this Monday at the 11th edition of the C O L O N Y winter dance summit with you all 🌊🐠
