Hope English Medium High School

Today, we were honoured to welcome back one of our former students, Poloko Sebonyane, who recently graduated from Botho University.
Poloko’s journey with Hope began in Grade 8 (Form A) all the way to Form E. Throughout his years at Hope, he distinguished himself as a hardworking and high-achieving student.
Today, we celebrated his remarkable journey by revisiting the places that shaped his story: the shack where he once studied from and even stayed in, alongside the teachers and principal who guided him, and in front of the new Hope Learning Centre, a symbol of growth and progress.
His story reminds us that success is not determined by where you begin, but by your determination, focus, and perseverance. There is always hope for a brighter future.
Poloko also took time to encourage our Grade 11 candidates, who begin their examinations tomorrow, sharing words of motivation and wishing them every success.
He joins many of our former students who graduated this year, and we are immensely proud of each one. We wish them all the very best as they embark on their careers and continue making a positive impact in their communities.
Once a Hope student, always part of the Hope family.

Grade 9 Teacher‑Parents Meeting
On Saturday, 19 September 2026, we held our class‑based meeting with Grade 9 parents and guardians.
We sincerely thank all who attended and contributed to the discussions. Together, we can nurture responsible and successful learners who are prepared for the future.

GRADE 8 PARENTS/GUARDIANS MEETING
Today, we had the privilege of meeting with the parents and guardians of our Grade 8 learners to discuss matters affecting their academic progress, discipline, wellbeing, and overall development.
Education is a three legged pot, with the school, learners, and parents each playing an essential role. Today’s meeting was an important step in strengthening this partnership and ensuring that we work together in the best interests of our learners.
Despite the rainy weather, our parents came in great numbers, demonstrating their commitment to the education and future of their children.
We sincerely thank every parent and guardian who made time to attend and contribute to the discussions. Your presence, support, and willingness to work with the school are deeply appreciated.
Together, we can nurture responsible, disciplined, and successful learners.

More About Our Career Day!
Our learners not only showcased the careers they aspire to, but we also had models for the day bringing extra flair and excitement to the event. ✨

CAREER DAY 2026
Our students stepped into the future with confidence and creativity, dressing in the attire of the careers they aspire to pursue. From doctors and nurses, lawyers and teachers to engineers and entrepreneurs, the day was filled with inspiration and vision.
We were honored to be joined by Botho University and IDM, who graced the event and encouraged our learners to dream big and prepare for the opportunities ahead.
We deeply appreciate their presence and guidance, and we thank God for a day that reminded us all that the future is bright when hope leads the way.

Blessed Thursday Service!
We were blessed to welcome Rev. Molefi Lesaane, who shared a powerful message from John 11:28–29: “…The Teacher is here, and He is calling you.”
His teaching reminded us that Jesus is calling us to leave sin, come to Him, and be saved. And for those who are already saved, the call is clear, to reach out and invite others to Christ.
We thank God for this day and for the message that continues to inspire and transform lives.
