handmade + heartmade Nada Debs is a Lebanese designer living and working in Beirut. There is something of each of her experiences in all of her work.

Her work spans scale and discipline: from product and furniture design to one-off commissions across craft, art, fashion and interiors. What ties her work together is her ability to distil culture and craftsmanship to create pieces of emotional resonance. Nada grew up in Japan, studied design at the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States and has spent significant periods of time living and travelling the world, finding connections between different cultures. In essence, she captures the power of the human hand to tell stories that touch the heart. She calls her approach: handmade and heartmade.

Traces, a ceramic collection by Beirut-based ceramist Lina Shamma, carries visual remnants of Uzbekistan across bowls and vases, marking the launch of Lebanese designer Nada Debs’ WA Collective.

The collaboration merges two distinct visual sensibilities: Shamma’s playful, irregular ceramics and Debs’ ordered geometric visual language.

Join Nada Debs at Palestine Design Week for Design: From Concept to Practice, in conversation with Huda Kalash and moderated by Dana Abbas.

Taking place as part of this year’s edition, Without Permission, the programme looks at design as a cultural and social practice that moves beyond form and finished objects, asking what we inherit, what we carry forward, and how craft, material and memory continue to shape the way we make.

Wednesday, 16 September
7:30 to 8:30 PM
Palestine Design Week Main Venue, Ramallah

The Teta Occasional Table brings a familiar craft into an unexpected form. A delicate handcrafted crochet motif is preserved within clear resin, resting on slender brass legs that balance lightness with structure.

A little piece of nostalgia, reimagined.

Inside the world of Nada Debs, interiors are built through layers of material, objects and detail. A conversation between the pieces we design, the spaces they inhabit and the stories they create together.

The Octagonal Table, a study in geometry, transparency and craft.

Mother of pearl is suspended within clear resin, allowing intricate pattern and light to shift with every perspective. Made to order, each piece can be customised in dimensions, finishes and materials.

We’re incredibly proud to share that the Okhun G***r Craft Salon has been selected for the Dezeen Awards 2026 EMEA Top 50.

Once a neighbourhood mosque dating back to 1775 in Tashkent’s historic blacksmiths’ quarter, Okhun G***r has been reimagined as a contemporary craft salon. Our approach looked to preserve the architectural memory and character of the original space while creating a new setting for craftsmanship, cultural exchange and contemporary design.

A project that celebrates the dialogue between past and present, and an honour to see it recognised on an international stage.

Transparency as a virtue. The Mother of Pearl Clear C Table pairs a minimal silhouette with intricate craftsmanship, allowing pattern, light and material to become part of the space around it.

The Palma Side Tables, where sculptural form meets the quiet geometry of the palm tree. Carved wood reveals a gradual pattern across the surface, celebrating the beauty of material, craftsmanship and nature.

A contemporary expression of a pattern that has existed all along.

A celebration of craft, material and possibility.

The Clear Octagonal Table brings mother of pearl into a new expression, suspended in transparency and brought to life through the skilled hand of artisan Abed Daaboul.
