Thank you to Deloitte for volunteering with us last week.
Their team walked dogs, bathed puppies and also helped out at our thrift shop.
We appreciate your ongoing support and hope to see you again!

Mark your calendars for our monthly Pub Quiz this Thursday 15 October!
John Watson will be coming out to put your general knowledge skills to the test, so book your table and join us there.
Please remember to keep teams to a maximum of 6 people, and small bills are appreciated for your entrance donations and cash only.
If you would like to book a table, email [email protected] or call Fidel's direct on 949-5189.

Update: He was found and is safe!
Courtesy Post: this friendly, outside, kitty has gone missing. He was being looked after by a neighbour but they went off island and have not seen him since their return.
He went missing from The Summit 2, in Frank Sound.
If you have seen him, please let us know.
His caretaker is very worried about him.

Are you looking for a calm companion? A dog that would be happy to lay by your feet whilst you have your coffee, snooze happily under a tree as you read a book? Yes? Well then Rae is your girl. This easy going retriever/shepherd mix would make a loyal friend to a deserving soul. She came to us in need of a second chance. She is 6 years young and has just completed her heartworm treatment. Rae gets on with other dogs and so could be a good fur friend to an existing pet in the home. Contact us on 949 1461 or send us a message or complete the online adoption application to adopt Rae https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=cihs&method=online_form_html&formid=42

Monthly Heartgard Reminder for our foster parents. Please collect your monthly Heartgard from the shelter this week.
Note that we currently have limited opening hours and the shelter closes at 1:00pm on weekdays.
Prevention is better than cure!

It's a lovely, overcast, day. Perfect for dog walking!
We are open from 8am to 12pm for dog walking only. The cat room is closed.
Please wear sneakers (NOT flip flops, unless you are taking a dog to the beach or beach training), sunscreen and a hat or cap. Use the crosswalk in front of ALT, clean up after yourself and the dogs, close both gates in the playfield before taking off the leash, and do not enter the playfields when already in use by other volunteers.
Whatley, Raccoon, Alcatraz, Jefferson & Valerie and all their kennel mates hope to see you soon!
