🌊 Protecting the sea means protecting our future.

This year, once again, Marnavi participated as a partner in the 16th edition of “Mediterraneo da remare hashtag hashtag – 30×30 Target by 2030”, reaffirming its commitment to an initiative that has been promoting marine conservation and the protection of marine ecosystems for years.

Promoted by Fondazione Univerde and Fondazione Marevivo, with the support of Corpo delle Capitanerie di porto - Guardia Costiera and Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche), the initiative brought together researchers, institutions, associations, athletes and businesses around a shared challenge: contributing to the international goal of protecting at least 30% of marine areas by 2030.

Among the distinguished guests attending the event was also Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, highlighting the importance of dialogue between institutions, the scientific community and the private sector in promoting greater protection of marine ecosystems.

During the event, Francesco Aliberti, former Professor at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II and Marnavi consultant, highlighted a fundamental principle:

"Protecting the first coastal areas is essential, as they represent the most direct point of connection between human activities and marine ecosystems. Safeguarding these areas means preserving biodiversity and ensuring a sustainable future for our seas."

For Marnavi, sustainability is achieved not only through supporting initiatives that foster awareness and dialogue between the scientific community, institutions and businesses, but also through the development of concrete solutions. An example of this commitment is our Mobile Marine Desalination Unit, an entirely Italian innovation designed to transform seawater into drinking water in emergency situations or areas affected by water scarcity, with reduced environmental impact and full respect for marine ecosystems.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this initiative possible.

This year once again, Marnavi is pleased to support "Mediterraneo da remare ", the long-standing campaign promoted by Fondazione UniVerde in collaboration with Fondazione Marevivo, created to combat marine pollution and promote the protection of coastal ecosystems and the Mediterranean Sea.

🗓️ 📌 On 15 June, the launch event of the campaign's 16th edition will take place at the Sala Marconi of the National Research Council (CNR) in Rome. This year's edition is dedicated to the international 30x30 target, which aims to effectively protect and manage 30% of marine and coastal areas by 2030.

We are proud to support an initiative that, year after year, brings together institutions, the scientific community, businesses and civil society to advance meaningful discussions on sustainability and marine conservation.

Among the distinguished speakers taking part in the event will be Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Italy's Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, alongside representatives from academia, public institutions and leading organisations committed to safeguarding the marine environment.

Representing Marnavi will be Francesco Aliberti, consultant to the company, who will contribute his expertise during the session dedicated to best practices in marine ecosystem protection and environmental sustainability.

We believe that the sea is a resource that must be protected through concrete actions, knowledge and collaboration. For this reason, we continue to support initiatives that help build greater awareness and a shared vision for the future of the Mediterranean.

The interview with Domenico Ievoli, Chairman of , is featured in MF and ShippingItaly, conducted by journalist Nicola Capuzzo, offering an in-depth perspective on the Group’s development plans and current dynamics within the sector.

Among the key topics, the strengthening of the fleet with a third newbuilding in China, a sister vessel to those already commissioned: “As Marnavi, we are proceeding with the renewal of our fleet and have therefore signed an order for a third vessel that will be a sister ship to the other two. The investment for each of these newbuildings amounts to approximately €30 million.”

This initiative forms part of a broader industrial growth strategy, with additional projects under evaluation, despite a competitive landscape still marked by a significant cost gap between Europe and Asia: “We would like to return to building ships in Europe and in Italy, but for economic reasons we are currently required to build in Asia.”

The interview also addresses the Group’s operational positioning, with vessels deployed across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe under long-term charter agreements, while highlighting key market challenges related to competition:
“At times, there is concern that competitors from outside Europe […] may engage in unfair competition.”

The contribution published by also highlights the recognition received by , a Group company, awarded “Distributor of the Year 2025” by Yanmar Europe, confirming its growth and consolidation in the sector.
