Iceland is currently experiencing severe winter weather, including strong easterly winds, snow, and poor visibility. Yellow and orange weather warnings are in effect across the country.

Winds reach 15–28 m/s, with gusts over 40 m/s in some areas.
Snow, sleet, and blowing snow are causing difficult and dangerous travel conditions.[en.vedur.is]

A blizzard warning is in effect nationwide, with likely road closures and limited visibility. [safetravel.is]

Avalanche risk (level 3/5) is reported in several regions.

Our campsite is open, but due to hazardous weather and travel conditions, we strongly advise against unnecessary travel. Please stay updated and prioritize your safety.
