Hairdressing Training Sligo

A huge congratulations to the wonderful Hairdressing Apprenticeship class of 2025 on your graduation 🎓🎓🎓

Each and every one of you should be so proud of yourselves, the commute to Sligo every week for 3 years was a huge commitment and though it was trying at times, you did it!
I know each of you gave up so much to gain this level 6 certification and everyone here at MSLETB (especially me 😊) is so proud of you all ❤️ 💜 💖.

On another note, I should apologise for my terrible photography skills, luckily there was an actual photographer there to take proper pictures 📸 😅.

Well, we didn't come home with an award but without trying to sound like a cliche, you are all winners.

To be nominated for an award like this is a huge achievement and I hope that Ava and Lauren are so proud of themselves for the effort they put in.

Well done ladies ❤️ 💜

On Friday we had a staff event, this was a meeting where the staff within Sligo College worked together on ways in which we can help make our training more opportunistic for learners and apprentices.
The feedback we got from past learners and apprentices was positive and upbeat.
This meeting also gave us an insight into what is being offered within the MSLETB organisation, let's just say.... a lot!!!!
Super proud to be part of a wonderful community that is constantly working towards progression and where the learner/apprentice is the focal point.

When the educators need to be educated!!

Last week the learning practitioners on the National Hairdressing Apprenticeship programme took part in an Afro hair cutting workshop with the wonderfully talented .

Here we got to freshen up our styling techniques and learn new cutting techniques when working with African Caribbean hair.

We are currently looking for some models with African Caribbean hair so our fantastic apprentices can get the chance to learn new skills and eventually go on to offer hairdressing services to everyone in our community ❤️ 💙 💜

If you are interested, please pop me a DM and I will give you further details 😘.

Yesterday we had a super exciting day showcasing our very own XR Hub. This is an innovative space that shows interactive ways to use immersive technology when teaching and learning.
Again, this is not a place I had been before, but now I am excited about ways to help our learners, I will be back soon, and that's not just for another demo of the 3D printer 😉.
Thank you to Iris for showing us this masterpiece in Strandhill, Sligo ❤️

more special when we bring our French partners on tour and they recieve the warmest welcome from my colleagues. Even though I have been working in this organisation for nearly 10 years, everytime I do a tour of , I am excited about all the opportunities that are available to people.
I am ashamed to say I have never taken a tour of before but I was impressed to say the least at the amount of courses available and amenities they have for learners.

Are you interested in joining our amazing industry or a salon owner thinking of joining the apprenticeship programme???
If you are, then buckle up and get ready for a wonderful journey of training with the National Hairdressing Apprenticeship.
