MONAGHAN TOWN RUNNERS DONATE €10,000 TO LOCAL CHARITIES!!!!

Over the past week, MTRs were out and about delivering cheques to worthy local charities! For several years now, MTRs have been giving away the proceeds of their hugely popular Monaghan 10 Miler, and this year, after a hugely successful race, we were able to donate even more than normal!!

Each of our chosen charities received a cheque for €1200. The local charities who benefited this year are:

LA519

Monaghan Senior Citizens

Marys Meals

Monaghan Cardiac First Responders

Monaghan RIAD

Friends of Rossmore Park

Ballinode Community Projects

Peter McKenna's Diamond to Diamond challenge which was in aid of Monaghan Special Olympics + Tydavnet Faith & Light.

In 2026 MTRs have donated over €17,000 to local charities, with our Crocus 5k back in March, raising over €7,500.

We would like to thank the local businesses who support our Monaghan 10 Miler every year by sponsoring race teeshirts and mile markers. This generous support allows us in turn to give generously.

Finally, we are proud of all our Monaghan Town Runners, who gave freely of their time in order to support and work hard at our 2 big running events this year.

Until next year!!

Keep er fit!!!!
