🎭🎭 MALLOW TOWN HALL THEATRE - CONSTRUCTION PLANNED FOR EARLY NOVEMBER!
🎭 Cork County Council have announced that the tendering process for Mallow Town Hall is nearing completion, and they are expecting the contract to be awarded in around a month's time, and construction to start in early November.
🎭 This is great news and I would like to thank the Council officials, local community groups and everyone involved for their hard work in bringing the project to this stage.
🎭 After construction starts, it is expected to take around a year until the theatre opens its doors. I'm really looking forward to seeing this great resource delivered for North Cork!
Full text of the update from Cork County Council:
Cork County Council is continuing to progress the redevelopment of Mallow Town Hall Theatre, with the project now moving towards the construction stage. The Council has secured a total of €14.5 million in grant funding towards the project as follows;
• A €7 million grant under the Thrive Scheme which is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern and Midland Regional Programme 2021-2027.
• A €7.5 million grant from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage under the Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme (TCRIF).
The current projected overall project cost of the Mallow Town Hall Theatre project is €15 million and Cork County Council will be funding the balance of the project costs over and above the costs which can be claimed under the grants awarded . This is the estimated all-in cost of delivering the completed project and includes the construction contract together with professional and consultancy fees, specialist works, fit-out and equipment, and other project delivery costs. Following completion of the tender process and the subsequent review and validation of the tender documentation, the Council is currently working towards signing the construction contract in late October 2026, with works expected to commence on site in early November 2026.
The redevelopment will deliver a modern 195-seat theatre and cultural venue, while conserving and enhancing the important heritage char

I think it's safe to say we had a very good night at our autumn social this weekend!
A huge thank you to Hibernian Hotel & Leisure Centre for having us and for looking after us so well! We're especially excited to be returning there in November for our upcoming shows (more info to be released over the next couple of weeks!)
We watched the footage from our show from last November together and had an evening full of laughs, questionable commentary and plenty of craic - our faces were genuinely sore from laughing by the end of it 😂
A big thank you to Cameradery Productions for filming us last November and putting so much time and care into editing it and putting it altogether for us so we can have evenings like this together ♥️
If this is what an MMS night out looks like, rehearsals are going to have a hard time competing! 🤣
