No two bodies are perfectly symmetrical - and they’re not meant to be! But how do we know when an asymmetry should be accommodated, supported or gently challenged? 🤔

This practical four hour workshop is open to Pilates instructors and interested clients who would love to understand the individual body more deeply.

We’ll explore:
🦴 The difference between anatomical and functional asymmetries🌀 Scoliosis, spinal rotation and directed breath
🦵 Structural and functional leg-length differences
⚖️ Habitual weight shifts and whole-body rotational patterns
🦶 How the hips, knees, ankles and feet influence one another
🩹 Compensations following injury, surgery or joint changes
🧘‍♀️ Purposeful padding, props and range modification
✨ Optional exercises and alternative pathways into the traditional Pilates work

The aim is not to force every body into artificial symmetry. It is to recognise what the body needs, choose an intervention with a clear intention and reassess whether it creates greater support, freedom and possibility. 💫
