From the Volunteer Group
‘Friends of Ukraine, Ashbourne, alongside our local Ukrainian community are holding a Vigil and evening of reflection on Friday 23rd February 2024. It is hard to believe, but we now mark 2 years since the invasion of Ukraine.

We would like to invite you to attend this non-political, peaceful community event outside the Ashbourne Library. If the weather is inclement, we will move the Vigil into the Library.

Please bring a candle, and Refreshments will be provided afterwards. During the lighting of the candles, music will be played by a local violinist. We also ask that you bring a teddy bear to display at the vigil (in perfect condition), which we will
donate to a Ukrainian orphanage after the event, as we did last year.’
