🏙️ Britney Spears - Overproteced (Darkchild Remix).

💥 I believe I explained the impact of the song with the previous drawing of the album version music video. The impact it had on me started with the Britney album enhanced CD upon hearing it to the bts of Crossroads. This Max Martin masterpiece was (and still remains) an anthem of impowerment and self-reliance. I still chant the final lines of the breakdown when insecurities or self-doubts creep up.

📺 Now, this video by CHRIS APPLEBAUM gave us one of the sharpest, fiercest and most gorgeous versions of Britney. I am still equally in awe of her looks and choreo. The era was giving. Most generous era of her career, and we still relish in it 25 years later.

⁉️ Which version do you prefer: original or remix?

It's 2001-ney 🔥💛

🔥 “Boys” & “I'm a Slave 4 U” constitute this album's two Neptunes productions. Both crucial to the musical argument of 'Britney': a venture into at a more adult R&B/hip-hop/funk identity. Here with a propulsive, skeletal Neptunes funk arrangement.

📺 Dave Meyers, who had previously directed “Lucky“, fused cameos with a nocturnal dance choreographed by Brian Friedman in the "Boys (Co-Ed Remix)" video.

🎤 The proof that Britney loved the track was seen in its tour resurrections: all of the following tours included it in their setlists. "Boys" also sonically relates B to Janet, who had herself been offered the song beforehand.

🎨 So, no surprised I've yearned to illustrate it, yet in this underrated look with the Y2K half-up updo.

⌛ Traditionally followed up with a process video which shows the rapid illustration process that took 7 hours.
