WTA 125 Makarska Open 2023 hosted by Valamar is the 18th edition/8th WTA of women's tennis tournament that will take place in Makarska, from June 03th till June 09h. Makarska Open, formerly Croatia Bol Open has entered WTA calendar exclusively in 2016 (alongside with US San Antonio and New York) and represents the only WTA tournament in Southeastern Europe. WTA 125 tennis tournament in Bol is one of only two WTA tournaments which is organized on an island which makes it even more special. However, Bol was already recognizable tennis destination as it previously hosted WTA tournament which was called "Croatian Bol Ladies Open". The tournament's first edition was held in late April 1991, and then again every year from 1996 to 2003. Through years, tournament was visited by many famous tennis stars such as Anna Kournikova, Amelie Mauresmo, Elena Dementieva, Kim Clijsters, Lleyton Hewitt, Iva Majoli, Katarina Srebotnik, Sandrine Testud, Patty Schnyder, Vera Zvonareva etc. So, after 13 years, WTA tournament came back to Bol and now i set to new long-term location, beautiful Makarska. So, this year we continue our tennis journey in this wonderful place, a real gem of nature. Enjoy a good tennis and good vibrations in Makarska, Croatia.

Two familiar faces from our courts, now teaming up at the WTA 1000 2026 DONGFENG •VOYAH WUHAN OPEN
Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani have both reached the WTA Top 10 in singles, and now they’re joining forces in doubles!
Sara was part of the Bol Open in 2017, while Jasmine won Bol 2021 and reached the Makarska final in 2023.
Good luck, girls! We’ll be cheering you on from Croatia. 🇭🇷❤️

Maria Sakkari, former World No. 3 and a familiar face from Bol, takes on Maja Chwalińska in the 2026 DONGFENG •VOYAH WUHAN OPEN quarterfinals. 🔥
Maja joined us at the inaugural WTA Dubrovnik Open earlier this year, and after her breakthrough run at Roland-Garros, she’s making headlines again, reaching her first WTA 1000 quarterfinal in Wuhan.❤️
