This year’s EU-Asia Docs opened last week at Palace ifc with the opening screening of the award-winning Irish documentary Gealtra.

This year’s festival features 13 outstanding documentaries from Europe. These thought-provoking films, which all have their HK premiere at our festival, explore a wide range of themes, ranging from environmental protection to human rights, youth empowerment, mental health, gender equality, and resilience in the face of war. You will also again have the chance to discover four equally inspiring documentaries from Asia - from Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Korea.

Divided into three distinct acts, this docu-encyclopedia explores the unknown worlds of animals, plants, and stones that we too often take for granted. Unfolding as a poetic visual essay, the first act uses archival footage to examine cinema’s obsessive representation of animals; the second offers a poetic observation inside the world's oldest botanical garden, celebrating the silent power of plant life; and the final act reveals how stones, weathered by labor and war, are transformed into collective memory. It is an urgent invitation to abandon human arrogance and a beautiful journey through nature, history, and art.

故事簡介：
人類自詡萬物之靈，卻常在文明的傲慢中，將身邊的自然視為理所當然。這部百科全書式紀錄片分為三章，探討動物、植物與礦物這些被忽視的「未知世界」。第一章聚焦動物王國，回顧珍貴早期影像，思索電影如何執迷地凝視與呈現動物；第二章移師全球最古老的植物園，詩意觀察並歌頌植物的靜默生命力；終章面向亂世中的頑石，它們經歷勞動與戰火淬煉，轉化為集體記憶的載體。這是一趟穿梭於自然、歷史與藝術的史詩之旅，打破人類中心的死結，開啟一場與萬物共生的思辨。

Applications are now open for the Global Master in Performing Arts Management, a 20-month, English-taught programme designed for aspiring professionals seeking a career in performing arts and opera management. The programme is offered by the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in partnership with POLIMI Graduate School of Management and in collaboration with the Piccolo Teatro di Milano.

Several scholarship opportunities are available, including:
• 3 scholarships funded by the Gianluca Spina Association, as well as additional scholarships offered by Politecnico di Milano;
• Scholarships provided by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) for international students, also available for the two-year advanced training programme for opera singers.

The programme includes a guaranteed 3- to 6-month internship, offering students valuable hands-on experience and access to the Academy’s extensive network of theatres, festivals, and performing arts institutions in Italy and around the world.

Sono aperte le candidature per il Global Master in Performing Arts Management: un programma della durata di 20 mesi erogato in lingua inglese per chi aspira a una carriera nel management dello spettacolo e della lirica, realizzato dall’Accademia Teatro alla Scala in partnership con POLIMI-Graduate School of Management e in collaborazione con il Piccolo Teatro di Milano.

Sono disponibili le seguenti opportunità di borsa di studio:
- 3 borse dall'Associazione "Gianluca Spina" e altre borse del Politecnico di Milano;
