Indigenous Power!

From a small bottom house to pitching alongside established companies like Barama Company Limited—what a milestone for Zajo Products! 🇬🇾🎓

I am proud to be among the 23 graduates of the EU-funded Guyana Wood-based Accelerator Programme.

As an Indigenous entrepreneur, standing on that platform meant more than presenting a business pitch. It meant representing my roots, showcasing what we can create and seeing how far a small business can go with determination and the right support.

I felt proud, but I also wished more of my Indigenous brothers and sisters were there beside me. Our communities hold remarkable talent, craftsmanship and ideas that deserve to be seen, supported and celebrated.

Thank you to the Delegation of the European Union in Guyana , the Centre for Local Business Development-Guyana , Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) our coaches and programme partners for helping us turn ambition into action.

Congratulations to my fellow graduates. For Zajo Products, this is another step towards a bigger dream: building a Guyanese wood-products business that makes our people proud and takes our craftsmanship beyond our shores. 🌎🪵

Monday Motivation – Another Happy Customer!

There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a customer satisfied with the final product.

Our first luxury wooden bookshelf project turned out beautifully, and we're proud of the result.

Crafted from Locust, Purpleheart, and Red Cedar, this custom bookshelf measures approximately 48" x 40".

Every board was carefully selected to showcase the natural beauty of the wood, balancing heartwood and sapwood to create a seamless, elegant appearance.

Each component was meticulously prepared, sealed, and sanded from 40 to 240 grit, resulting in a smooth, silky finish that feels as good as it looks.

To enhance the natural character of the timber, we chose a matte oil finish rather than a gloss coating, giving the piece a warm, luxurious look that highlights the grain and richness of the wood.

Custom bookshelves like this start at approximately GYD 160,000.

Thank you for supporting locally crafted products made from sustainably sourced Guyanese timber.

Have a productive week ahead!
