After Your Wax: Why Exfoliation Matters
Keep your skin smooth, healthy, and free from ingrown hairs by exfoliating regularly after your waxing services.
What is exfoliation?
Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells that can block hair follicles and lead to bumps or ingrown hairs.
There are two types of exfoliation:
🌿 Physical exfoliation – involves using a scrub, exfoliating glove, or shower towel to gently buff away dead skin.
🧴 Chemical exfoliation – uses ingredients like salicylic acid or glycolic acid to dissolve dead skin and unclog pores.
Both methods help keep your skin soft, smooth, and glowing between waxes.
How often should you exfoliate?
Start exfoliating 2 days after your wax, then continue 2–3 times a week for best results. You can alternate between physical and chemical exfoliation, but avoid using both on the same day to prevent dryness or irritation.
