What must it feel like when the boundary between day and night is never interrupted by darkness? 🇬🇱
I recently came across photographs by the photographer Aningaaq R. Carlsen, capturing the Northern Lights as they meet the ice. I find them truly mesmerizing 🥰
🇬🇱 If you travel to Greenland to experience the midnight sun, keep in mind that the period during which it is visible depends on where you are in the country. We’d be delighted to help you plan your trip.

👇👆Meet Marit. She is one of the people who sees you when you land in Nuuk.
🛬”I originally came to Kangerlussuaq from Norway to work here. Now 16 years have passed, and one of the best things about Greenland is the sense of community. We help each other, and you can easily drop by for a cup of coffee without calling first – we become like a family.
🗻I also love how close nature is. I spend a lot of time hunting myself, and life here is much less about stress and much more about getting out into nature.
🌱If I could give one piece of advice to anyone visiting Greenland, it would be: slow down. Look up. Enjoy the silence. The greatest experiences often come when you least expect them. Suddenly, a musk ox may be standing behind a rock, or the light over the mountains will take your breath away.
I have the best job in the world!” Marit, Air traffic controller in Nuuk.
Thank you, Marit 🙏

🌬️I stumbled because the ground was slippery after the rain, but I wanted to get as close as possible to see Mother of the Sea.
🦈I have read the myth countless times. Its interpretations are endless.
🦑To me, the myth is about respecting nature by not overconsuming—not only in a material sense, but also psychologically.
It is about avoiding the exploitation of both the outer world and our inner nature. When people forget that they are part of something greater than themselves, resources are depleted, and humanity must begin the difficult task of untangling what has gone wrong.
🦭You can see the sculpture Mother of the Sea at the Colonial Harbour in Nuuk. It was created by the artist Christian Nûno Rosing.
🌬️ I’d love to hear how you interpret the myth, Julie SoMe, Travel By ❤️

Summer is on its way, which also means we can expect more fog 🌬️
Beautifully captured on a cold day in Nuuk.

🇬🇱 Send us your best travel tips, and we will pass them along 🤝
“We are no longer very young and have some mobility difficulties, yet we still had a wonderful experience getting around Greenland.
Of course, we wish we were more agile and able to walk longer distances, but since that was not the case, it was a tremendous help that everyone we met, no matter where we were, was happy to call a taxi for us.
The taxi drivers arrived promptly and took us directly to our destination door-to-door.” - Susanne ♥️
