Jamie Holliday has just completed his work experience with BDO!

Jamie has gained first-hand exposure to an accountancy network firm and an understanding of the wider financial services industry.

During this time, Jamie was working predominantly in the accounting department learning the foundations of double entry and assisting in the preparation of books and records.

Providing students with practical work experience is an important part of our community outreach, and we appreciate Jamie's diligence and efforts over the past week.

Audit Senior
Applicants must be ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent, with previous experience of managing people and a portfolio of clients. Good working knowledge of audit methodology, IFRS and UK GAAP are also essential.

Audit Associate
Applicants must be part-qualified in ACCA/ACA/ICAS or overseas equivalent, with previous experience of in an accounting/auditing firm. Good working knowledge of UK and International Auditing Standards are also essential.

Audit Assistant
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is comfortable with numbers and using excel as a means to completing tasks. The candidate must be willing to, or currently studying towards, an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/ACA/ overseas equivalent). Previous accounting and/or auditing experience is desirable but not a pre-requisite for the post.

The ideal candidate will:
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of Viewpoint software and Microsoft Office;
• Have had prior involvement or experience with the onboarding and maintenance processes of corporate entities and Trusts;
• Communicate effectively; and
• Have the ability to resolve issues efficiently and successfully.

We are incredibly proud of our staff for tackling the gruelling Med Steps 5 Challenge this past weekend!

It was a test of endurance, grit, and plenty of vertical climbs, all in support of the vital work done by Cancer Relief Gibraltar and the Cancer Relief Centre. While the legs might be feeling it today, the reward of supporting such a worthy cause makes every step worth it.
