🌻 Sunflower Project Therapeutic Residential🌻

This weekend, we held our Sunflower Project Therapeutic Residential at Camp de Rêves - and what a weekend it was!

This was our first year running the residential at Camp de Rêves, and it was a huge success. It is such a beautiful and special place, providing families with the opportunity to spend time together, meet others in a similar position, and create memories that will last a lifetime. 💛

We were delighted to welcome 7 families for a weekend filled with fun, connection, laughter and therapeutic activities.

Most importantly, it was a chance for families to relax, feel supported, and simply enjoy being together in a safe and welcoming environment.

One young person summed up the weekend perfectly:

“This is the best weekend ever.” 🥰

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we’re thinking of the children and young people affected by su***de loss. 💛

Grief can feel confusing and overwhelming, especially for a young person.

At The Sunflower Project, we offer a safe and supportive space to talk, remember and process their feelings in their own way.

No young person should have to face grief alone. 🌻

We are partnering with the Guernsey Bereavement Service to hold a drop in bereavement coffee morning.

This is for adults/parents that have been bereaved of a partner.

We hope to create a safe space for you to connect in, with the option to speak to members of the Sunflower Project or the Guernsey Bereavement Service.

Saturday 12th September 10-11.30am- Sarah Groves Room (Walled Garden, Saumarez park).

We are partnering with the Guernsey Bereavement Service to hold a drop in bereavement coffee morning.

This is for adults/parents that have been bereaved of a partner.

We hope to create a safe space for you to connect in, with the option to speak to members of the Sunflower Project or the Guernsey Bereavement Service.

Yesterday we held our Sunflower Fun Day! 🌻

We had 22 young people attend the event. They had great fun on the bouncy castle, doing arts and crafts and spending time with their friends.

Less than a week before the The Sunflower Project’s Summer Fête. Join us this Saturday 11 July from 1-4pm Les Beaucamps High School.🌻

This fun-filled afternoon includes free rides, bouncy castles and lots of exciting activities; making it perfect for young children and families! There’s also free drinks and great value food, what’s not to love? 🤩

If you join us for an afternoon of fun, you’ll be supporting the fundamental work we do to take care of local young people and children who have experienced bereavement. Our work ensures that they do not feel alone in their grief, and we strive to uplift families with empathy and compassion.
