Granite Le Pelley - Guernsey

Exciting New Project 🪨✨

Work has begun on this new sunken terrace, which will feature reclaimed stone walling mixed with timber cladding, and new granite paving once complete.

Looking forward to bringing this outdoor space to life.

The existing wall was carefully taken down, repositioned 1 metre back and rebuilt with its original features preserved in place.

New cobbles were added to enhance the character, creating a finish that feels both timeless and in keeping with the property.

This beautiful granite home suffered damage to its stonework and guttering, and our team stepped in to bring it back to life.

Careful repointing, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality have restored the property to its former strength and charm.

Another home protected, restored, and looking its best!

On Friday, we had the opportunity to take our team to the new quarry at Chouet.

A big thank you to Seamus from Ronez Limited for leading the visit and giving us a detailed walkthrough of the different phases of the operation.

It was fascinating to see the work that goes on behind the scenes. While we didn’t get to witness a live blast, we did get a close look at the preparation involved. This includes carefully drilling holes in a precise pattern, loading them with explosives, and initiating them in a controlled sequence to maximise fragmentation while minimising noise and vibration. It really brought home how the materials we rely on every day in our stonemasonry work are produced and prepared at source.

After the tour, we headed back to the yard to round off the afternoon with a BBQ and a few well earned beers! 🍻

A great way to wrap up a really insightful day with the team.

A quality granite repointing job, recently completed for our client.

We carefully removed the old and worn mortar and replaced it with new to protect and enhance the natural granite.

A clean, traditional finish from our team with great attention to detail.

Smart, sturdy, and in keeping with the surroundings – just how it should be.
